॥ श्री पितृभ्यो नमः ॥
महालय–पितृपक्ष कथा — मौलिक पुनर्प्रस्तुति।
शरद नवरात्रि से पहले पितृ पक्ष में पूर्वजों का स्मरण होता है। बंगाल में महालय दुर्गा आगमन का द्वार भी माना जाता है।
कथा का भाव: जो अन्न–शिक्षा–नाम हम तक लाए, उनका ऋण केवल श्राद्ध थाली नहीं — सदाचार से भी चुकता है।
गया, काशी, प्रयाग जैसे तीर्थों में तर्पण परंपरा है; घर पर भी जल–तिल–दान से श्रद्धा रखी जा सकती है।
