Our purpose

TirthaYatra is an independent informational guide to temples and pilgrimage circuits across India and related sacred sites in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Kailash region.

We help travellers understand mythology, see the place (licensed photos), find it on the map, and arrive prepared with dress codes, darshan timings, and official links.

Images

Temple photographs are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under their stated free licenses (Public Domain / Creative Commons). Each page credits the photographer and license. We do not scrape photos from government temple portals (for example AP Temples, TN HR&CE) because those sites typically retain copyright — we link them for official details instead.

Official state portals

We reference government and Devasthan portals such as AP Temples, TN HR&CE, Telangana Endowments, Karnataka HRI&CE, Rajasthan Devasthan, and temple trusts. TirthaYatra remains independent and unaffiliated.

Editorial standards
