॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥
अहोई अष्टमी व्रत कथा — मौलिक पुनर्प्रस्तुति।

कार्तिक में अहोई अष्टमी पर माताएँ संतान सुख हेतु व्रत रखती हैं। दीवार पर अहोई चित्र/कलश और सायंकाल तारा/पूजा रीति क्षेत्रानुसार भिन्न।

लोककथा: एक माता ने अनजाने वन्य प्राणी के बच्चों को हानि पहुँचाई; पश्चाताप और अहोई माता की आराधना से संतान रक्षा का मार्ग खुला। शिक्षा — माता का व्रत करुणा से बड़ा है, हिंसा से नहीं।
