सावन के मंगलवार अनेक घरों में मंगला गौरी पूजा होती है। गौरी पार्वती जी का सौम्य रूप हैं — मंगल, सौभाग्य और अडिग प्रेम की देवी।
कथा का हृदय पार्वती जी की तपस्या है। उन्होंने शिव जी को पाने के लिए आभूषण नहीं, तप चुना। मंगला गौरी व्रत उसी धैर्य की याद दिलाता है — जल्दबाजी नहीं, स्थिर श्रद्धा।
